3-Day Safari – Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater
This three-day Tanzania safari is the perfect way to experience the stunning beauty of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Explore the plains of Serengeti National Park, witness the annual wildebeest migration, and visit Ngorongoro Crater to spot all of the Big Five (elephant, black rhino, lion, leopard, and African buffalo), along with a wide variety of other animals.
Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we will drive to the central Serengeti, known as the Seronera region. This popular area hosts a variety of animals such as hippos, waterbucks, impalas, elephants, and baboons. Due to the abundance of prey, predators like lions, hyenas, leopards, and cheetahs are also commonly spotted. Your experienced Africa Natural Tours guide will take you to the best locations teeming with wildlife. During the game viewing, you’ll enjoy the mesmerizing views of the Serengeti’s wild plains. Dinner and overnight will be provided at your Serengeti hotel of choice.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will embark on an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, witnessing the stunning sunrise and expansive wild plains, which make wildlife viewing particularly enjoyable. Animals such as lions, zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs, and hippos are easily spotted. After lunch, you’ll drive to Ngorongoro, encountering wildlife along the way. Dinner and overnight will be arranged around the crater rim.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
An early breakfast will be provided at your camp or lodge, and then we will descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing in the world’s largest caldera. The crater boasts astonishing scenery and a very high concentration of animals, including the endangered black rhino. Keep an eye out for elephants, as the crater is home to many of these large mammals. Ngorongoro Crater hosts around 15,000 wildebeests, 9,000 zebras, 400 hyenas, about 120 lions, and approximately 50 highly endangered black rhinos.
